CONCLUSION :

LA improved the physical and emotional symptoms of TMD, with results similar to OS.

The AA group received five points per subject per session being the shenmen, kidney, sympathetic, brain stem [27, 28], and TMJ [27]. These points have sedative and tranquilizer effects [11, 27, 31]. The sham AA group received two points per subject per session being the wrist and external ear [27, 28] (Figure 2). These points were chosen because they were far from the group of points the AA group.
